You can spend your time cosied up by the fire or wandering the rolling hills here, but if you would like to venture a little further than the property these are my local recommendations.

Just up the road,
eat/ drink
Myrtille - A French Bistro + Bar with a beautiful European inspired menu and produce sourced from local Queensland farms. The bar serves cocktails and a fabulous range of wines too! My absolute favourite place to dine.
My Little Blueberry – The sweetest patisserie and café, a must visit for amazing treats. They do an incredible Turkish sandwich too.
Pechey Distilling Company – Set up in the historic Pechey Homestead, you can visit the distillery door for tastings of their locally sourced and brewed gins. The family have a long history in the region.
Crows Nest Soft Drinks – Visit the retail store in the front of the factory to get a taste of soft drinks and cordials that date back to 1903!
Peadon Rural – Head out for delicious pizzas and some plants while you’re at it. This family-owned rural supply shop’s recent foray into pizza making has been a great success and welcome addition to our township.
do
Roadside stalls - Pick up some fresh Dahlia’s, avocados, citrus, eggs, firewood at many of my neighbour’s front gates. As the seasons change so does the selection!
Cressbrook Dam - Visit the day use area with a picnic overlooking the water. Drive a little further to cross over the dam wall at Perseverance.
Ravensbourne Nation Park - A great display of the subtropical rainforest and eucalypt forest that once covered the Great Dividing Range. Short walks and spectacular views start at Gus Buetel Lookout, just a stones throw from the driveway.

30 minutes away,

Relish – Easy to get to with a delicious menu, perfect stop for a quick coffee or full breakfast. The kids menu is a treat!

Bunnyconnellen – the BEST place to spend a Sunday afternoon. From picnics to weddings, the atmosphere under the fig trees and their fantastic menu is always a pleasure.
Black Forest Hill – the newly renovated complex incorporates the Cuckoo Shop, Clock and Bull Brewhouse and Wild Honey Café. With retail and restaurant delights all in one, this is somewhere you’ll drop in to check out and end up staying a while.
Cooby Dam – Loveday Cove and the dam wall picnic area are both lovely spots to immerse yourself in the bushland and wildlife found alongside the lake.

Farther afield,
Head into Toowoomba for a day trip, just 45 minutes’ drive from Kenti’s.
There are plenty of fantastic cafes, restaurants, and things to see in the Garden City. In the springtime there are many local gardens open to the public.
